Please advice me on vintage Seamaster Chronograph 176.007 -

I'm eying one of these for quite some time now, and recently I got offered this piece for a lil'less than $900. No box or papers or even bracelet though (which doesn't really bother me)...other than that the watch works fine (according to the seller of course)

just though I would ask your opinions guys! I don't really think that I would ever get one like this for this low, but I might be wrong...
